At the lovely Glass Studio at Eridge Park on Saturday 17th March 2018. 10 am - 4.30 pm £75

Learn from a masterpiece and paint your own!

In the morning we will copy a masterpiece, then after a lovely hot lunch we will paint a still life 'in the style of’ the painting we have made in the morning

So you will go home with two paintings, one a copy and one your very own!

This is an easy, painless and wonderful way into painting.

You will not be on your own as I will be there all the way - to help you as much as you want, particularly in the afternoon, and being in a group really helps too - we are all in it together!

We will be using acrylic paints which are water soluble.

Of course you learn so much about the artist by copying their painting but also you will start learning (or learn more) about you as an artist, what your style is, how you apply paint, what you find easier and what is more of a challenge.

It will be a fun and creative day and I dare say there will be a bit of music thrown in….

There will be a glass of wine at the end when we admire the results of the day.

Deposit of £25 will secure your place.

'Art from the Heart is the wonderful oasis in my frenetic life. 2 hours of supportive creative activity led by Stoney. Lovely group and we are producing some really rather lovely pieces. Thoroughly recommend it.'

"Coming to Stoney's studio, you are surrounded by creativity and inspiration. Stoney's new course

"Art from the Heart" has made me look, feel and become aware of my own creativity from within myself.

I am looking forward to seeing where this course takes me, guided by Stoney's humour and creative skills.

‘I've loved attending "Art from the Heart".  The group has been warm, friendly and very supportive and it has given me the chance to express myself artistically in ways that I hadn't dared before.  I wanted to unblock my creativity and "Art from the Heart" has helped me to do just that.’

Ruth Willis

‘Stoney is taking us on an exploratory journey through colours, shapes, design and feeling with enthusiasm and encouragement to find the artist within each of us.  She provides a warming ambiance in her own studio working with us to develop skills and to bring out our own creativeness.

Each week Stoney challenges the group with a concept and then gives the freedom to experiment and explore the different mediums provided.  The exchange of ideas and support from within the group brings out creativity and the fun in trying something different.

Unlike the normal evening class the course is more about developing abilities to create images with feeling and passion rather than learning to paint or draw in a particular style. And its much more fun.

I have been able to revisit techniques already tried and to learn new ones, bringing back enthusiasm and confidence to take ideas and concepts forward to work on by myself.’
