This can be an effective alternative.
The design is applied to optically clear film which really looks like glass.
It is also possible to have a sand-blast/acid effect which enhances the design and can be seen at night and in lower light levels, this can be laser-cut.
Whilst being less durable it can also be changed for a fairly low cost if damaged and of course it can be changed if a new design is required.
The professionally applied film can be laminated or encapsulated in a second layer of glass for protection.
