Stoney has worked on numerous commissions in healthcare.
She has completed several King’s Fund Enhancing the Healing Environment commissions.
Experience working in the healthcare environment has increased her awareness of relevant issues:-
- Engaging and involving the people who will see the work, making the glasswork as universal and approachable as possible.
- Issues that may affect the user group – the use of particular colours in the mental health environment for instance
- Sensitivity to issues of functionality, wayfinding for instance or obscuring for privacy
- The need for artwork that can be cleaned for infection control
