Stoney is an abstract painter, working in acrylics, oils, inks, collage and watercolours on different surfaces - board, canvas and paper.

She works from her new studio on a farm near Frome in Somerset near the Wiltshire border having recently moved from East Sussex. She is deeply inspired by nature and loves colour and design, a key component of her previous glasswork. This all feeds into the paintings.

Painting is exciting, expansive and intense for her. It is a moving thing. Stoney is exploring the interior and exterior landscape, the duality, heaven and earth, land/sea and sky. Some work is more abstract than others.
